Phils Island is an island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of Antarctic Graham Land . It is the southerly of two small islands south of Guépratte Island in Discovery Sound .

Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1927. Its name probably goes back to whalers who were active in the waters of the Palmer Archipelago. The further naming background has not been passed down.
