Philyra (daughter of Oceanus)
Philyra ( ancient Greek Φιλύρα ) is the daughter of the Titan Oceanus and mother of the famous Centaur Cheiron in Greek mythology .
Kronos fell in love with her and fathered the centaur Cheiron with her (in the form of a horse to hide his identity). However, Philyra was so disappointed with her "freak" that she asked Zeus to be able to transform, which he granted her. So it became a linden tree .
