In the film, Phineas and Ferb help Doctor Doofenshmirtz - unconsciously of the consequences - to complete his latest Inator, through which they finally arrive in another dimension. There they meet the other Doofenshmirtz, who by now has the entire try state area under control. He reveals Perry's true identity and reveals it to the two brothers. Broken to be just a camouflage for their beloved pet, the three still have to pull themselves together more or less in order to take on the evil Dofenshmirtz of this dimension and to get back into their own dimension. They meet and their friends in the 2nd dimension, who are completely different from how they know their confidants.
