history
The franchise was added to the Pacific Hockey League in December 1977 after its team owner had previously withdrawn a team of the same name from the Central Hockey League . After the new PHL franchise was founded, the team immediately took second place in the regular season in the 1977/78 season. In the following season they were in first place in the regular season after 60 games. The league was then dissolved while the game was running and the Roadrunners were declared champions after the playoffs were not held for financial reasons. Then the Phoenix Roadrunners were also disbanded.
