Phormion was initially a slave to the Pasion , an important banker in Athens. After his release, he continued to work with him as his assistant. As a pasion 370 BC Chr. Died, married Phormion according to the will of his former master pasions widow. In addition, he became the successor to the banking business through lease, although Pasion had a biological son in Apollodorus .
