OptecNet Germany

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OptecNet Germany e. V. is the amalgamation of seven regional clusters in the field of optical technologies . It represents the optical technologies clusters on a national and international level. The association was set up in 2001 with the support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the “Optical Technologies Funding Program”.

tasks

The main areas of activity are the networking of business and science, initiation of cooperations and innovation processes, start-up support, training and further education offers as well as technology marketing. The regional networks bring together more than 500 members from business, science, education, consulting and finance across Germany. The common goal is the sustainable further development of optical technologies in Germany.

The clusters offer their members a communication platform on which new personal contacts can be made and the know-how of the players can be bundled and made usable. Partners who cooperate closely in the pre-competitive and non-competitive area should be given the opportunity to form strategic alliances and to act jointly and in a coordinated manner at the national political level.

organization

The regional networks are members of the OptecNet Deutschland e. V. based in Hanover.

The nationwide association is the representative and contact person of the regional networks in the field of optical technologies at national and international level. It serves to coordinate and bundle regional activities, develop common strategies and fields of action, and regularly exchange information and experience between the regional competence networks.

The association was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the “Optical Technologies Funding Program”.
