from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pibb Xtra , formerly Mr. Pibb , is a soft drink distributed by the Coca-Cola Company . It is sold in most of the United States except for those areas where Dr. Pepper is sold.

history

Mr. Pibb first came as "Peppo" and possibly as "Dr. Pibb ”on the market. It was later opened on the basis of a lawsuit against the name by Dr. Pepper renamed Mr. Pibb. Mr. Pibb was first marketed as a test in 1972 in Waco, Texas, the birthplace of the brand, before moving to Dallas, Texas. In 1980 the recipe for Mr. Pibb was changed and advertised with the slogan “New taste” on the bottle. After that, a new flavor (cinnamon) was launched in 2001 to replace the original flavor.
