Picard is an impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon in the Mare Crisium plain, east of Yerkes crater and south of Peirce . The rim of the crater is sharp, the interior has pronounced concentric structures.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French astronomer Jean Picard .
