Pierre-Charles Lochet (born February 24, 1767 in Châlons-sur-Marne , † February 8, 1807 at Preußisch Eylau ) was a French general de brigade of the infantry .

Life

In 1784, at the age of seventeen, Lochet entered the royal army as a cadet . When the revolution broke out , he left the army. He first joined the revolutionaries, later Napoleon Bonaparte and joined the Grande Armée .

Lochet quickly made a career under the emperor and was already général de brigade in 1803. He fought he u. a. near Austerlitz (December 2, 1805) and Jena (October 14, 1806).

He fell in the Battle of Preussisch Eylau (February 7/9, 1807) and was buried there next to General Louis-François Binot, who was killed on the same day .
