Pierre Alphonse Martin Lavallée

Pierre Alphonse Martin Lavallée (* 1836 in Paris ; † May 3, 1884 in Segrez near Paris) was a French dendrologist . Its botanical author abbreviation is " Lavallée "; earlier the abbreviations “ Lav. "And" Lavall. " in use.

Life

His father, Alphonse Martin Lavallée , founder of the École Centrale , bought the Segrez estate near Paris in 1856. Alphonse the Younger set up an arboretum there, which was famous throughout Europe at the time.
