Pierre Claude François Delorme (born July 28, 1783 in Paris ; † November 8, 1859 there ) was a French history painter of classicism .

Delorme was a pupil of Anne Louis Girodet-Trioson , trained in Rome after Raphael and Michelangelo .

His first work, exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1819, was the historical picture "The Death of Abel", which is now on display in the Montpellier Museum. Delorme was involved in the salon exhibitions until 1851, mainly with mythological, religious and history paintings. His larger commissions include wall paintings in the Paris churches of St-Gervais-St-Protais , St. Eustache , Notre Dame de Lorette and in the chapel of Épernon . He also painted portraits for the French nobility, respectively. People of Paris society.

Delorme's paintings were, among others , engraved and reproduced by the engraver Jean Nicolas Laugier (1785–1875), also a student of Girodet.
