Pierre Dandrieu

Pierre Dandrieu (* 1664 ; † October 20, 1733 in Paris ) was a French priest , organist and composer .

Pierre Dandrieu worked for more than 40 years as an organist at the Church of St. Barthélemey (demolished in 1791) in Paris. Around 1714 he published a livre de noëls for organ and harpsichord . His style is influenced by Nicolas Lebègue . In addition, little is known about his life, except that Louis Marchand intrigued against him in order to make him lose his job. His nephew Jean-François Dandrieu succeeded him as organist at St. Barthélemey .
