Pierre Droite

The menhir Pierre Droite (also called menhir du Paly ) is located in Milly-la-Forêt in the Essonne department in France . The Pierre Droite stands on the plateau overlooking the Essonne valley with the hamlet of Bonnevaux to the west.

The menhir is a block of quartz sand that is about 4.0 m high, 1.9 m wide and 0.6 to 0.7 m thick. It has engravings on both main surfaces. On the west side, the engraving depicts a cross overhanging its rectangular base. A face with a hairstyle is depicted on the east side.

Another block of similar size lies on the floor.

The menhir has been classified as a monument historique since 1974 .
