Pierre Camel Medawar

Pierre Kamel Medawar SMSP (born December 26, 1887 in Haifa , then Ottoman Empire , now Israel , † April 27, 1985 ) was auxiliary bishop in the Melkite Patriarchate of Antioch .

Life

On August 15, 1938, he was ordained a priest of the Mission Society of St. Paul . This was followed on March 13, 1943, the appointment as auxiliary bishop in Antioch and titular bishop of Pelusium dei Greco-Melkiti . The ordination as bishop took place on June 6, 1943. In 1969 he was age-related emeritus and until emeritus his death on 27 April 1985 Auxiliary Bishop of Antioch. He was a participant at the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council and assisted as Mitkonsekrator at the consecration of Archbishops Maximos V Hakim , Elias Zoghbi , Joseph Elias Tawil and Nicolas Hajj SDS .
