Pierre Letort

Pierre Letort (born May 31, 1922 in Vezin-le-Coquet , Département Ille-et-Vilaine , † April 18, 1993 ibid) was a French football player .

Career

Letort played as a young adult for a club called TA from Rennes and moved from there in 1946 to big city rivals Stade Rennes ; by going to the first division, he also assumed professional status. On August 18, 1946, he made his debut in a 7-0 defeat against AS Nancy in the top French division and became a regular on the left wing in the following years .

However, he had to end his professional career after five first division games with a goal, as his ex-club TA Rennes had successfully sued against the previous change; Nevertheless, Letort Stade Rennes remained loyal, but could only appear for the reserve team. In 1950 he finally turned his back on the club and continued his career at the lower class club US Liffré .
