Pierre Louis Omer Charlet
Pierre Louis Omer Charlet (born January 2, 1809 on the Île d'Oléron , † February 3, 1882 in Paris ) was a French genre, allegory, church and history painter.
Charlet studied from 1833 at the École des beaux-arts de Paris with Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and Antoine-Jean Gros .
He took part in the Salon de Paris from 1835 , from 1841 under the double name Omer-Charlet.
Many of his paintings are in the churches of his home island, Oléron.
