Pierre Pena
Pierre Pena (* around 1520/1535; † around 1600/1605), also Petrus Pena , was a French doctor and botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Pena ".
Pierre Pena was Matthias de L'Obel's assistant and Heinrich III's doctor .
Honor taxon
Charles Plumier named a genus Penaea in his honor . Carl von Linné later did not take over this genus, but placed it in the genus Polygala of the finial family (Polygalaceae).
