Julius Léopold Eduard Avé-Lallemant

Julius Léopold Eduard Avé-Lallemant (born July 4, 1803 in Lübeck , † May 17, 1867 ibid) was a German botanist . His first name is also written "Jules", his third first name also "Édouard" or "Edouard". Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Avé-Lall. "

He worked in Saint Petersburg from 1838 to 1855 . The German-Russian botanists Friedrich Ernst Ludwig von Fischer and Carl Anton von Meyer named the plant genus Lallemantia from the mint family (Lamiaceae) in his honor.
