Pierre Prowo
Pierre Prowo (born April 8, 1697 in Altona ; † November 8, 1757 there ) was an organist and composer .
Pierre Prowo came from a family of musicians in Altona and from 1736 he was an organist of the Reformed Church in Altona.
Some compositions by Pierre Prowo have survived, including a cantata, 12 sonatas for flute and B. c. , around 20 trio sonatas and some works for larger chamber music ensembles, with woodwind ensembles being preferred for the solo parts. As a contribution to the Hamburg Opera on the Gänsemarkt , recitative settings for the opera pasticcio Der Jahrmarckt von Saint Germain zu Paris (1738) have been preserved.
