Pierre Troisgros (born September 3, 1928 in Chalon-sur-Saône ) is a French restaurateur .

Life

Pierre Troisgros and his brother Jean trained with well-known top chefs in Paris. In 1954 he returned to Roanne . Just a year later, Pierre and Jean Troisgros' country inn received its first Michelin star . Within ten years it became the most popular restaurant in the region and soon it was also one of the best known in France. In 1965, now known as Frères Troisgros , it received the second star, and in 1968 the third. As part of a group of chefs who are counted as part of nouvelle cuisine , the brothers Pierre and Jean were honored by critics of Gault Millau in 1972 with the title of "Best Restaurant in the World".

Her father's philosophy, Jean-Baptiste Troisgros, was to run a good provincial restaurant (founded in 1930).
