Pierre de Bauffremont

Pierre de Bauffremont (* 1400 ; † August 7, 1472 in Couchey), called Pierre de Charny , comes from the Bauffremont house . He was Count von Charny , Lord von Montfort and the Seneschal of Burgundy. In 1430 he was accepted as one of the first knights in the order of the Golden Fleece .

He married Agnès de Saulx in his first marriage, Jeanne de Montagu in his second marriage and Marie of Burgundy in his third marriage on November 12, 1447, an illegitimate daughter of Duke Philip the Good . From the third marriage he had three daughters:

Antoinette inherited her father's property, which was inherited through her daughter Philiberte, Comtesse de Charny, who later became the wife of Jean de Chalon , Prince of Orange and Seigneur de Montfort from the Chalon family.
