Pierre de Monte
Pietro del Monte , French also Pierre de Monte (* 1499 in Italy , † January 26, 1572 in Valletta , Malta ), was the 50th Grand Master of the Order of Malta from August 23, 1568 until his death .
His family name was actually Guidalotti , but he took as part of the pontificate of his uncle, Pope Julius III. (Giovanni Maria Ciocchi del Monte San Savino), whose last name.
Before being elected Grand Master, he was a friar in Capua .
