Pierre du Hochu

The menhir Pierre du Hochu (also called Pierre à la Bergère or Menhir des Houssine ) stands east of Lusanger near Châteaubriant in the Loire-Atlantique department in France .

It is a sub-conical block about 1.75 m high and 2.0 m wide, 1.6 m thick, sloping slightly to the northeast. In its surroundings there are ten blocks arranged in a circle, perhaps the remains of a larger ensemble.

The Hochu stone has been registered as a Monument historique since 1928 (not since 1950 as indicated on the plaque) .
