Pieter Custers
Pieter Custers (born March 13, 1984 in Weert ) is a Dutch archer .
Custers already celebrated international success as a young shooter. In 2001 he became the European Junior Team Champion. After moving to the Dutch men's team, he won the silver medal in the team competition at the European Championships in Oulu, Finland in 2002 . At the 2003 World Cup in New York , Custers was sixth with the Dutch team. With a third place in the individual competition and victory in the team competition at the European Championships in 2004, Custers secured qualification for the Olympic Games.
In Athens he took part in the Olympic Games for the first time . In the individual competition he was after the qualifying round with 646 points from 72 arrows in 36th place. In the first round he lost his duel against the Kazakhs Stanislaw Zaborodskij with 141: 145 and was eliminated. In the final, he finished 44th. Things went better together with his teammates Wietse van Alten and Ron van der Hoff . They reached fifth place in the team competition. Pieter Custers is from his father Jan. trained.
