Pieter Vanspeybrouck (born February 10, 1987 in Tielt ) is a Belgian racing cyclist .

Career

Pieter Vanspeybrouck was Belgian cross-champion in the youth class in 2003 . In 2005 he was national champion in the junior division. He also won the overall ranking of the road race Ster van Zuid-Limburg in 2005 . In 2006 he was third in the Espoirs event of Paris-Roubaix and in the Belgian U23 road championship. In the 2007 season he won a stage in the Tour de Liège. From 2008 to 2016 Vanspeybrouck drove for the Belgian UCI ProTeam Topsport Vlaanderen . In 2017 he moved to Team Wanty Gobert and started the Tour de France , where he finished 100th.

In the spring of 2013 Vanspeybrouck was banned for three months for doping with the active ingredient Fenoterol .
