Pieter de Vlaming van Oudshoorn (born September 9, 1563 in Amsterdam , † August 10, 1628 there ) was an Amsterdam ruler of the Golden Age .

biography

Pieter came from the De Vlaming van Oudshoorn family . His parents were Dirk de Vlaming van Oudshoorn and Aeff Pieter Fopsdr. De Vlaming van Oudshoorn was a merchant who lived on the Nieuwendijk . In 1596 he became councilor of the city; in 1605, 1613 and 1616 he was appointed Schepen . Between the years 1620 and 1624 he was colonel in the civil guard . His terms of office as mayor fell in 1621, 1623, 1626 and 1628. De Vlaming van Oudshoorn had been a moderate mayor in the times of unrest.

From his marriage to Aefge (Eva) de Wael (1563-1638) came some children, such as Margaretha, who married Nicolaes Tulp .
