The Pilkuse Lake ( Estonian Pilkuse järv ) is a lake in southern Estonia . It is located about 2 km east of Otepää .
The area of the lake is 10.5 hectares , the greatest depth 5.4 m. Oak trees grow on the east bank and the heavily forested Võnnumägi mountain in the south. The bottom of the lake is mostly muddy, the water yellow-green.
With 27 plant species, the fauna is relatively rich. The fish include perch and pike .
The lake is part of the Otepää Nature Reserve .
