Pinnacle Gap (English for Zinnenlücke ) is a mountain pass in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies between the Pain Mesa and the Tobin Mesa in the Mesa Range .
The pass was first committed by the northern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1962–1963). It is named after the crenellated Mount Ballou , which towers above the pass to the north.
