Mount Ballou is a crenellated and 2900 m high mountain in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It rises at the southern end of the Mesa Range and forms the northern flank of the entrance to Pinnacle Gap .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Justin G. Ballou (1916-2003), senior officer of the winter team in Division A. of the US Navy at McMurdo Station in 1966.
