The Yarrow Reservoir is a reservoir east of Chorley in Lancashire , England . It was built from 1867 by Thomas Duncan the engineer for the city of Liverpool for their water supply. The reservoir is east of the southern end of Anglezarke Reservoir and the northern end of Upper Rivington Reservoir . The River Yarrow flows into the reservoir at the northeast corner known as the Meeting of the Water and flows from the west into the Anglezarke Reservoir.
