Pino Quartullo

Pino Quartullo (actually Giuseppe Quartullo ; born July 12, 1957 in Rome ) is an Italian actor , screenwriter and film director .

Life

Quartullo graduated in architecture, then made the directorial diploma at the " Accademia Silvio D'Amico " and attended courses with Gigi Proietti . He made his theatrical debut with Fra Diavolo , in which Aldo Trionfo directed and was engaged as his assistant and actor. In 1982 the popular A me glo icchi, please by his mentor Proietti followed, as well as the first film role (for Mario Monicelli ). The next year Quartullo was artistic director, director and actor of "La Festa Mobile", for which he staged a number of mainly comedies. He was able to celebrate one success after another with audiences and critics alike. From 2000 to 2013 he was entrusted with the artistic direction of the “Teatro Traiano” in Civitavecchia .

In the 1990s Quartullo also made films again and again, which he played and directed based on his own script - and mostly based on theatrical successes. Previously, the short film Exit , which he co-directed with Stefano Reali , received an Oscar nomination in 1987 . He is often seen as an actor in television films and series.

In addition to his relationship with actress Elena Sofia Ricci , Quartullo has a daughter born in 1996.
