Piore Ridge is a striking and 18 km long ridge in the Victory Mountains in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It looms between the Elder and Bowers glaciers .
Participants in a campaign from 1957 to 1958 by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition and the United States Geological Survey between 1960 and 1962 carried out mappings. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1973 after the Belarusian-American physicist Emanuel Piore (1908–2000), a member of the National Science Board at the National Science Foundation from 1961 to 1972.
