Piotr Mordel

Piotr Mordel (* 10. April 1961 in Lublin ) is a in Berlin active Polish cabaret artist, graphic designer, founder of Mordellus Press publishing house and the clubs of the Polish failure .

He completed his studies in 1983 at the electrical faculty of the Polytechnic in Lublin and in 1997 at the school for computer graphics in Berlin. During martial law he was active in illegal publishing initiatives in Lublin. In 1987 he was arrested by the Polish security service . He has lived in Berlin since 1988. In 1992 he founded the “Mordellus Press” publishing company in Berlin, which by 2000 had published around forty literary works in German and Polish.

He is active as a board member, actor and presenter in the Berlin Club of Polish Failures, founded in 2001 . As part of the club, he takes part in the “Adam Gusowski and Piotr Mordel Lieutenant Show” every Saturday at 9:37 p.m. on Radio Multikulti of the rbb . Piotr Mordel also works as a graphic designer for the German-Polish magazine "Dialog" .
