Pipers Island, or Piper's Island , is an island in the Thames upstream from Caversham Lock . The island is close to the center of Reading on Caversham Bridge .

Pipers Island is entirely occupied by a pub and restaurant called The Island , as well as a jetty for an attached boat rental and river navigation operation. Pipers Island can only be reached on foot via a short connecting bridge from the center of Caversham Bridge.
