Pirgo

Pirgo is a historic district in today's Altenoythe district , which in turn belongs to Friesoythe , a town in the Lower Saxony district of Cloppenburg .

location

Pirgo is about two kilometers from the center of Altenoythes, four kilometers from the center of Friesoythes. State road 831 runs through the village. The Lahe , a tributary of the Soeste, flows north of Pirgo . Surrounding places are Altenoythe, Wolfstange and Hohefeld . Together with Pirgo, these four formed the municipality of Altenoythe in the municipality of Friesoythe in the district of Friesoythe in the state of Oldenburg in the 19th century .

Infrastructure

In the middle of the 19th century there were 9 houses with 41 inhabitants. Today the industrial park there was named after the historic Pirgo.
