Pius Fink (politician)

Pius Fink (born January 14, 1903 in Andelsbuch ; † April 25, 1983 there ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Fink was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1945 to 1970 .

Life

After primary school, Pius Fink attended various specialist courses and between 1923 and 1924 he graduated from the dairy school in Weiler near Lindau. In addition, Fink studied at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and obtained the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. Fink worked as an alpine servant and cheese maker in various companies at home and abroad and became a master cheese maker (apprenticeship) in the dairy school in Andelsbuch. He was also a farmer and was given the professional title of economics councilor.

Fink was a member of the Federal Economic Council from 1934 to 1938 and later held the office of Vice President of the Austrian Farmers' Union. He was also chairman of the Vorarlberg Catholic Family Association and chamber councilor of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Agriculture . Fink represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 19, 1945 and March 31, 1970.
