Pyotr Ivanovich Poletika
Pyotr Ivanovich Poletika ( Russian Пётр Иванович Полетика ; * 1778 , † 1849 ) was a Russian diplomat and envoy to the United States.
Life
Poletika enjoyed an aristocratic education, held various diplomatic posts and was a senator. In the diary of Privy Councilor Pavel Diwow it is reported that Poletika reported to Alexander I rumors from Saint Petersburg and the court and thus gained influence on Alexander I.
Poletika was the author of the book Memoirs , which was published posthumously in 1885 .
