Pla de Na Tesa is a place on the Balearic island of Mallorca that is part of the Marratxí municipal administration .
Pla de na Tesa with 4,314 inhabitants (2011) borders in the north directly on the runway of the only airport in Mallorca until 1960, the Aeródromo de Son Bonet . It is one of the most important places in the municipality of Marratxí, near the Pont d'Inca and Pórtol. From the center it is around 7 km to Marratxí and 9 km to Palma .
history
The place name was chosen because the terrain is completely flat, ie without any elevations. The patron saint is Sant Llàtzer ( Lazarus ).

The construction of the church began in 1858 and was completed with the construction of the church tower in 1889. In 1857 the Cura de San Marcial acquired a plot of land in the village and built the Iglesia de Sant Llàtzer, which was consecrated in 1864 by the Bishop of Palma. In 1889 work on the church tower was finished. The neoclassical design ended with the placement of two bells - the smaller one comes from Barcelona, the larger one from Palma.

Facilities
- Residencia Son Llebre , the largest Balearic center with research and accommodation for the disabled and Alzheimer's. (Son Llebre on Google Maps: [1] ). Around 700 people can be accommodated in apartments there. The integrated training center for social services with a vocational school for socio-structural services trains around 3,000 nursing staff every year. The center opened in February 2012.

economy
Pla de Na Tesa is known for the production of almond milk (llet d'ametla). Since 2006, the Fira de la llet d'ametla fair has been held every year together with the feast of the patron saint in December.
