Plac Konstytucji

The Plac Konstytucji (German: Constitution Square ) is a square in the Śródmieście district in Warsaw , Poland . The square is in the middle of Ulica Marszałkowska (German: Marschallstraße ). The square was created as a central construction section of the MDM residential district and was built according to the design of the architects Stanisław Jankowski , Jan Knothe , Józef Sigalin and Zygmunt Stępiński . The inauguration took place on July 22, 1952, the day on which also the constitution of the People's Republic of Poland (hence the name of the square) came into force.
