The Playa Del Plástico is less than 175 m long beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II Peninsula, it is located immediately north of Punta Óscar .
Scientists of the 39th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1984–1985) named it after plastic waste that was found here and washed up by the sea.
