The Playa El Módulo is a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located south of Punta Anelio on the east side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named it after a fiberglass shelter that they had built here for the observation of seals , among other things .
