Punta Anelio is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the east side of Cape Shirreff , the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula , it lies south-southeast of Cerro Copihue .
Chilean scientists named them after Anelio Aguayo Lobo (* 1933), helicopter pilot on the 20th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1965–1966) and involved in the first census of the mammal population in this area.
