The Playa Schiappacasse is an approximately 120 m long beach on the banks of Barclay Bay of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula , it is southeast of Punta Yeco .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named him after Paulina Schiappacasse Cambiaso, geographer on this research trip .
