The Playa Copihue is a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the east side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula, it is located immediately east of Punta Odontoceto .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named it after the copihue ( Chilean wax bell ), the flower in the Chilean national coat of arms .
