The Langenbrander height is 723.7 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the northern Black Forest . It is located in the municipality of Schömberg and is the highest point in the municipality. It is located in the district of Langenbrand in Schömberg , just over a kilometer northwest of the settlement area. A wind turbine has been located near the highest point since 1998 and is to be replaced by five new turbines in the 2020s. 500 meters northeast of the highest point of the mountain is the Langenbrand transmitter , a 143 meter high radio tower that can be seen from afar.
Location and surroundings
The Längenbrander Höhe is the highest point on a ridge east of the Enz valley . Höfen is located in the Enz valley, two kilometers west of the highest point . To the west, to the Enz Valley 350 meters below, and to the south-west to the Förtelbach which flows into the Enz at Höfen , the mountain drops quite steeply. The mountain represents the western edge of the high plateau between Enz in the west and Nagold in the east, which reaches its greatest height at this point. To the southeast, to the Schömberg district of Langenbrand, which is located on this high plateau, the mountain drops hardly noticeably.
Development
The summit area is accessed through various forest paths. The highest point is near the edge of the forest on the Langenbrand clearing island. The transmission tower northeast of the highest point is not open to the public.
In December 1998 one of the first wind turbines in Baden Württemberg was put into operation near the highest point. This system with a nominal line of 750 KW is to be replaced by 5 new systems with a nominal line of 4500 KW each. The hub height of the new wind turbines will be 164 meters. The new wind turbines are located to the northwest of the highest point on the western flank of the mountain and the Hirschgarten area to the northwest. Three of the five new lifts are already on the mark of Waldrennach , a district of Neuenbürg in the Enzkreis .
