The Plaza de La Glorieta (officially: Mirador de la Glorieta ) is a square with mosaics , sculptures, pergolas and benches in Las Manchas de Abajo , a place in the municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane on La Palma .

Emergence

The square was designed by the Palmerian architect and artist Luis Morera in the 1990s. Originally a square in the center of Los Llanos was supposed to be redesigned, but the city council only offered the remote Plaza de Los Cuatro Caminos in Las Manchas. Despite lively help from the neighborhood, Morera needed from 1993 to 1996 to build the entire structure.

description

The square's mosaics and sculptures largely reproduce native fauna and flora. The flower sculptures are planters for the species shown, so that art and nature complement each other here as well.

Others

The Viticulture Museum is located near the Plaza de La Glorieta .
