The Ploggensee is an elongated lake directly to the north of the locality of Grevesmühlen in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg .
The 15-hectare Ploggensee has a maximum extension of 1100 meters in an east-west direction and 160 meters in a north-south direction. There are no noteworthy inflows and outflows. The lake can be completely circumnavigated on foot. On the south-western bank there is a bathing establishment and a gastronomic offer. There are larger stocks of carp in the water . There are numerous fishing spots all around the lake with the exception of the western and eastern shores, where the bell moor adjoins.
