Plot it! is an arcade game series based on the game principle of demolition of the game pieces from the late 1980s. The game pieces pushed here from the side are to be steered by the player onto a similar piece within a pile. If the stones are identical, if possible several in a row, they are dismantled. This enables chain reactions and complex structures.
The gameplay was similar to that of Plotting. The first version of Plot's (Atari XL / XE 1990) was implemented according to a slightly different game principle. So the stone that was removed was reassigned by chance and the last stone was not used. Only after extensive criticism in the specialist magazines of the time was a second (original) game variant added. From this version (Atari XL / XE 1991) it was possible to choose one of the two at the beginning of the game. Plot's was one of the few mind games on the Atari that two players could play at the same time.
The video game was ported to other platforms from 1994 and was another in ACTION! Programmed game that no longer consisted of lines and single-colored pixels. Curious: although there were already programs with animated character set graphics, this was not used in Plot's.
Plot's first appeared in 1991 for Atari and from 1999 for the Windows operating system . However, Plot's has been part of other programs several times. It found, for example, 1994 use in the German educational software "German Pfiffikus 1" for MS-DOS , 1997 in mathematics learning software "Math for Dwarfs 2" for Microsoft Windows 3.x . However, these versions were only intended for one player, the two-player option was not available.
Plot's 3 was one of the few games that Rolf Kaucasus comic characters Fix and Foxi had as the title heroes.
