Plumpaquatsch was a television entertainment magazine for children with the green Aquarius - hand puppet Plumpaquatsch and the human co-host Susanne . From 1972 to 1975, ARD and NDR produced and broadcast 75 episodes of Plumpaquatsch. Twelve reruns with new short films were broadcast over 1978.
At times there was a comic book by Condor Print & Verlag GmbH & Co KG in Frankfurt about the figure of the same name. It also featured Maxifant and Minifant , which could be seen as hand puppets in articles in the magazine.
Furthermore, two radio play records with Plumpaquatsch and Susanne Beck were released for the record label “Für dich” (a sub-label of the audio game label Auditon ) .
