PocketStudio is an integrated development environment for Palm OS and Garnet OS . The software is an international project; it is a joint development of Pocket Technologies Inc. ( USA ) together with winsoft ( Slovakia ) and Brazilian developers. In many ways it resembles the open-source - IDE Lazarus and popular Delphi for Windows. The visual programming environment includes A. a form designer, an object inspector and a code editor .
A Pascal dialect is used as the programming language , which is adapted to the specifics of the Palm OS through specific extensions.
The Palm OS emulator POSE or the Garnet OS simulator are integrated for debugging . PocketStudio runs on Windows . The software generates PRC files that can be transferred to the Palm using HotSync or distributed on the Internet or on data storage media .
